SenseMe™

Haiku® was the world’s first smart ceiling fan and it hasn’t stopped being a technology leader since.  SenseMe™, Haiku’s patent-pending technology, uses motion, temperature, and humidity sensors to monitor the room’s environment. You set your specifications, SenseMe keeps it comfortable.  

Big Ass Fans® App 

The Big Ass Fans app makes it easy for users to have complete customization of your personal comfort experience. Shift the color temperature downlight, set the mood with a full-color spectrum ambient up-light, or adjust the fan’s speed–the Big Ass Fans app allows control at your fingertips. 

Smart Home Integration

In addition to SenseMe™, Haiku® also integrates with smart home technology, offering voice control through Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa and syncing with ecobee® thermostats. Its Wi-Fi connectivity allows for hands-free fan and lighting controls. Ecobee smart thermostats maximize efficiency by maintaining your preferred fan conditions.

Customizable Design and Finishes

Seven airfoil finishes, four hardware finishes, three diameter options, optional ambient RGB up-light, and an optional full-spectrum color temperature shifting downlight mean Haiku® is fully customizable to your taste.  

Premium Materials

Haiku’s three airfoils are made from five-layer sustainably harvested Moso bamboo or aircraft-grade aluminum.    

Each airfoil is hand-selected and laser-measured for matching length, weight, and balance to ensure your space feels as great as it looks.  

Size Matters

Three diameters, two mounting options, and a range of downrod lengths make Haiku a versatile solution for virtually any space, from small bedrooms to great rooms.  

The three sizes are:

• 52" (132 cm) Great for smaller bedrooms and home offices    
• 60" (152 cm) Ideal for living rooms, master bedrooms, and kitchens    
• 84" (213 cm) Perfect for great rooms, basements, and open-air spaces  

The mounting options are: 

• Low Profile Mount- For use with flat ceilings as low as 8 ft (2.4 m)  
• Universal Mount- For installing on sloped or flat ceilings, from 10.5 feet up to 14 ft (3.4 to ≥4.3 m)

Made for All of Your Favorite Spaces 

Not all ceiling fans are rated for outdoor installation. Rain and moisture, sun exposure, dirt, dust, and wind ensure that indoor-rated fans won’t make it past a season with their particle board blades, exposed motors, and inadequate mounting systems. 

The Haiku® outdoor model, however, is designed with aircraft-grade aluminum airfoils that never droop, virtually silent IP-rated motors, corrosion-resistant finishes, and stainless-steel ball bearings. Haiku is tested against wind, rain, and heat in Big Ass Fans’ Research and Development Lab to ensure it will maintain its performance and style no matter the weather.    

It should be noted that Moso bamboo airfoils and SenseMe™ technology are not available on outdoor models, due to their more sensitive nature.  

Fans of Efficiency

Along with all of this comfort, excellence, and style, the indoor Haiku® is also rated ENERGY STAR® Most Efficient for 2021.   

This is because of features like Fan Eco, which is an energy-saving mode, along with other special control modes that offer advanced functionality and can be enabled through the fan’s remote control or with the Big Ass Fans mobile app.   

Additionally, multiple speed settings including Sleep, Whoosh, Timer, and Fan Eco modes allow for greater control and comfort.  

Whoosh

Whoosh allows Haiku® to simulate a natural breeze by continually varying your fan’s speed up and down.

Sleep

Sleep mode gradually reduces your fan’s speed over a user-specified period of time, allowing for a gentle sleep that stays comfortable as conditions change.

Timer

Use Timer to set your Haiku® to automatically shut off after a specified period of time.

Fan Eco

Fan Eco optimizes your fan’s performance using a finely calibrated balance of airflow and energy use, making it the world’s most efficient ceiling fan.
