• Airblade Technology™:

  The Dyson Digital motor is a masterpiece of modern engineering. The motor’s brushless configuration allows it to draw up to 68 cubic feet of air per second at an astounding 81,000 rpm. This combined with the Airblade design allows for airspeeds of up to 420 mph which effortlessly removes water the from the user's hands. Despite the enormous volume and velocity, the motor itself is delightfully quiet and produces no more than 85 decibels when in use. The technological synergy between the Dyson Digital Motor and the Airblade design makes for a unit that is truly at the pinnacle of hand drying efficiency and performance.

• HEPA Filter:

  The HEPA, or High-Efficiency Particulate Air, designation for air filters is derived from the standards set forth by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. To meet this standard, a filter must remove a minimum of 99.97% of particles that measure a size of .3 micrometers that pass through it. The Dyson Airblade proudly utilizes this filtration unit as a means of sanitarily drying the users hands, leaving them clean and refreshed. Typical hand dryers do not use such a filter and simply recirculate ambient air.
