How Does It Work?

By harnessing specific wavelengths of visible light, Vital Vio's specially designed LED lighting excites certain molecules found within the cells of bacteria, mold, and fungi, causing those cells to deteriorate—effectively killing them. Although different strains of bacteria, mold, and fungi are killed at different rates, the process begins immediately; the deadly reaction within the cells initiating as soon as the bacteria are exposed to the light.

Intermediate vs. Continuous Disinfection

When most people think about cleaning, they think about how quickly a surface can be disinfected, and how soon it can be made safe to touch, but really you should be thinking about how long that disinfection actually lasts.

Wiping down and disinfecting the surface of a counter top, or toilet seat will clean the bacteria off of it, sure, but as soon as you touch it again bacteria from your body is re-deposited onto that surface. Over time airborne bacteria joins it, and they all multiply and multiply until you clean the surface again.
