Seachrome’s rear-hung wall-mount folding tub seat delivers safety, style, and peace of mind by providing a safe place to sit while bathing. The seat is mounted at the rear of a tub and rests on tub edges to function as a bench to enhance support. It measures 29" L x 16.5" W, making it suitable for use with most standard-size bathtubs. The tub seat fits best with alcove bathtubs and is not recommended for free-standing tubs. Its wide seat surface supports up to 250 pounds and satisfies all ADA code requirements when properly installed. The rear-hung tub seat easily folds up and is automatically held in a raised position 3” against the wall by a stainless-steel friction hinge bracket. The friction hinge bracket is engineered to provide a smooth consistent resistance when raising and lowering the seat. The tub seat frame is constructed with high-quality #304 stainless steel. While the seat is fabricated from durable, water-resistant thick phenolic material ideal for easy cleaning and long-lasting use in the bath. The teak phenolic slats complement a wide range of bathroom decor and provide a natural smoothing spa-like look. The tub frame is lined with rubber pads to provide protection tub surfaces when lowered into its down positions.
