The wrought brass adjustable barrel ball catch 1" x 2 1/8" x 1 3/8" body 1 3/8" x 2 1/8" strike with radius corners is a latching mechanism consisting of a spring and bearing, with an opposing receiving strike plate. Doors installed with ball catches can simply be pushed open or closed.
