The Taurus Box Set has a number of artisanal aspects to its design and construction. One of which is how the handmade ivory and decorative boxes have mitered corners that follow the line telescoping from their tops to their bottoms. Once the bone and composite materials have been fitted together in tidy lines, texture is achieved on the surface when artisans mark the speckled bone with a brazing tool. This level of specificity and the fact that the boxes are composed like intricate puzzles illustrate Aimee Kurzner's ability to bring complexity to artisanal accessories.
